Who’s behind the brushes?
I’m Ellora, a book fore-edge painter and entrepreneur with over 5 years of experience.
As far back as I can remember, I’ve always loved creating things with my hands. From drawing to crochet and sewing… Creating is what drives me, what makes me feel alive and gives meaning to my life.
Ellora Jaspage was born somewhat by chance, thanks to a friend who is passionate about books.
One day, she asked me if I could paint the edges of her favorite book series.
I had never painted a book before. I didn’t even really know how I was going to do it.
But I gave it a try.
And I loved it.
Today, I’m so happy to hand-paint the edges of books, giving them a new dimension and turning the stories we love into one-of-a-kind pieces.
Each creation is made with patience and care, in my little studio near Paris.
I love the idea that a book can be so much more than a story we read. That it can also become something we treasure, something that feels like ours, and something that holds a special place on our bookshelves.
I hope that one day, my creations will find a place on yours, among the stories that mean the most to you ♡
